Gerard Butler in “Greenland” (Metro Films)

Principal photography has since wrapped in Savannah, Georgia on action thriller, Chase, as of May, and with word out of Cannes that Voltage Pictures is repping international rights and will introduce to buyers immediately, with first-look footage to follow shortly. Voltage will co-rep US rights with CAA.

Chase comes from director Brian Goodman (Black Butterfly, What Doesn’t Kill You) from a script by Marc Frydman (Black Butterfly), and stars Gerard Butler (Greenland, Angel Has Fallen, 300) as Will Spann, who pairs with the in-laws to engage the local Sheriff’s department in a frantic effort to find his missing wife, Lisa, when she disappears at a gas station without a trace. As the clock ticks, suspicion falls on Spann who must take matters into his own hands, plunging into the town’s criminal underbelly while running from the authorities in a race against time to find Lisa.

The film also stars Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World, The Last Stand, Thor), Russell Hornsby (Creed II, The Hate You Give, Fences) and Ethan Embry (First Man, Eagle Eye, Sweet Home Alabama), with Michael Irby (FX’s “Mayans MC”), Cindy Hogan (Boy Erased) and Bruce Altman (Arbitrage). Butler produced the pic with Marc Frydman, Brian Pitt and Alan Siegel.

“We could not be more excited to partner with Gerry, Alan, Marc and Brian on this wildly commercial film,” said Voltage Pictures’ President and COO Jonathan Deckter. “Gerry has been and continues to be one of the most bankable movie stars on the planet and we can’t wait to share this film with our partners the world over.”

“I knew we had a special movie as soon as I read the screenplay,” added Siegel. “Gerry and I loved working and collaborating with our fantastic partners. They shared the same vision and desire as us and I believe we’ve made this film fresh and significant.”

Butler is represented by CAA and Alan Siegel Entertainment. Alexander is repped by UTA, Atlas Artists and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis. Hornsby is repped by ICM Partners, Cohn/Torgan Management and Hansen Jacobson. Embry is repped by APA and Nelson Davis Wetzstein.
