Jason Statham Transports Into Action For FAST AND FURIOUS 7

Cinema website Desde Hollywood had the luck of getting to interview actress and Fast And Furious 6 co-star Michelle Rodriguez this week as she has been out and about promoting the film to the press before its set release for May 24, 2013. Today, they are reporting a small segment of that dialogue which confirms actor Jason Statham will have a role in Universal Pictures’s seventh installment of the film series.

Michelle says the following:

“Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, when you see these guys in a room you know they belong together […] You can see in their eyes that they have gone through a lot […] I applaud Universal for getting him on-board!”

Currently, the jury is still out on whether Statham is going to appear in The Expendables 3, even though the film has been announced, with actor Sylvester Stallone still casting.Meantime, he also has a new action crime drama out in UK cinemas this month titled, Hummingbird. He is also slated to star in Homefront with Winona Ryder and James Franco, from director Gary Fleder and set for a 2013 release.
Statham’s appearence in Fast And Furious 7 puts the actor back behind the wheel for another film franchise involving high speed chase scenes and elaborate stunt car sequences since the Transporter film series and the film, Death Race. Director James Wan is set to helm the seventh film in the series, which has an expected theatrical release date set for July 11, 2014.
