NAMELESS Teaser Trailer Sees Jiro Sato In A World Of His Own Violent Making
Jiro Sato is more than an actor – a fact apparent for anyone who’s enjoyed his 2024 manga, “Nanashi” about a madman who uses invisible weapons to go on a killing spree. That premise is now put front and center of director Hideo Jojo’s new psychological crime thriller from Kino Films now dubbed Nameless, with Sato himself taking the mantle for the adaptation of his work.
One afternoon in a cafĂ© filled with young customers, a brutal murder occurs. However, the middle-aged man with a shaved head, suspected to be the culprit, is carrying no weapon at all. Anyone he touches suddenly starts bleeding profusely and collapses one after another. When the police arrive and see the scene captured on security cameras, they are struck speechless. As the investigation continues, they discover that a man who was once questioned on suspicion of shoplifting years earlier is the same shaved-head man involved in this case. His name is Taro Yamada. When the police visit Yamada’s residence, they find the decomposed corpse of a woman…
Ryuhei Maruyama, Megumi, and Kuranosuke Sasaki also star.
Nameless opens in Japan on May 22. Catch the official teaser trailer:
