NOBODY 2: First Poster Revealed At CinemaCon
CinemaCon kicks off on Monday for its week-long event where studios shed some light on their upcoming film releases. Universal Pictures is on hand this week for its own venture with Nobody 2, the upcoming action comedy sequel to the 2021 hit which returns Bob Odenkirk in the lead role.
Director Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes For Us) helms a story that continues the exploits of Odenkirk’s character named Hutch, a former “auditor” – or government hitman. In the first film, directed by Ilya Naishuller, we meet Hutch, nowadays a family man at one of the lower peaks of his life. When a home invasion sparks his violent renaissance, it spreads to a gang of hoodlums, landing him on the radar of the Russian mob.
Tjahjanto, who has made bank with a handful of other action heavy hitters in the past decade partly including Headshot with co-director Kimo Stamboel, and 2024’s The Shadow Strays, directs the new installment from a script by Odenkirk, and by Derek Kolstad and Umair Aleem.
Nobody 2 opens August 15, and debuted a poster at CinemaCon over the weekend which you can check out via Bleeding Cool.
