Fresh from its recent Hall H debut at Comic-Con is the newest trailer for Onslaught. The sci-fi action horror is readying a wide September 4 theatrical release from A24, marking the latest from Adam Wingard best known for his recent MonsterVerse endeavors with Godzilla V. Kong and Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.
When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.
Onslaught also completes a trilogy of sorts, according to Empire quoting Wingard and his Hall H panel, rounding out 2011’s You’re Next and 2014’s The Guest. It’s worth thinking about considering I always figured that the second film was sequel worthy, but now I’m inclined to rewatch both for a better understanding on how this could play out.
