Quiet On Set!: Cameras Now Rolling On AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY For 2026 Release
Marvel Studios is announcing the start of production on Avengers: Doomsday in London. The trades all but confirmed the news as the label livestreamed a cast roster through a set of chairs on Wednesday.
The announcement is the latest on the newest chapter in the Marvel movie saga since Robert Downey Jr. was hailed on the stage of Hall H at Comic Con last summer for the role of Victor von Doom, otherwise known as “Dr. Doom”. Downey Jr., who appears at the end of the livestream, joins a roster that also alludes in part to a rather long-awaited movement on one area of the Marvel franchise since 20th Century Fox release, X-Men (2000).

Anthony and Joe Russo are directing Avengers: Doomsday film for a May 1, 2026 release. The pair are also attached to helm Avengers: Secret Wars which opens May 7, 2027.
