With one day left, D23 wrapped up its events at Anaheim on Saturday with a slew of announcements, panels and even some exciting footage. Marvel Studios is adding to the roster going forward with Thunderbolts, according to Deadline‘s Justin Kroll. The film will be directed by Jake Schreier from a script by Eric Pearson (Black Widow).

The Russo sibs – Joe and Anthony, are at the helm once more and have made fine work of the Avengers end of things since taking over after the second and third Captain America films. Their hands have been involved with other projects but that hasn’t deterred them from continuing to craft one of the best, most extraordinary and memorable film franchises to date within the MCU, and they’re back again to bring the journey closer to its end with Avengers: Endgame, following the harrowing fracas of Infinity War and the casualties thereof.
