Relativity Media To Co-Finance "BRICK MANSIONS" Starring Paul Walker & David Belle

 

Deadline is reporting that Relativity Media will co-finance the upcoming film, Brick Mansions with a script by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen with Besson-protegè Camille Delamare set to direct.

The film will be an American revision of Pierre Morrel’s orginal French-language 2004 international parkour hit, Banlieue 13 (a.k.a. District B13) and Patrick Alessandrin’s 2009 follow-up, Banlieue 13: Ultimatum and will star Paul Walker and Parkour founder, David Belle who co-starred with actor, freerunner and fight choreographer Cyril Raffaelli in the previous films.

Walker will play an undercover cop who enlists the help of a street smart freerunner to recover a weapon of mass destruction from a major drug pusher within the ghetto known as “Brick Mansions”. The last known release date for the film included a 2013 release.

Walker is soon set to star in the upcoming reboot of Xavier Gens’s 2007 videogame-based action spy thriller, Hitman in which Raffaelli also served as action director. You can also catch Paul Walker back in action with this summer’s pending blockbuster release of Fast And Furious 6 on May 24, 2013, with Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster , Elsa Pataky, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Luke Evans, Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, Gal Gadot, Christopher Bridges, Michelle Rodriguez, Gina Carano and The Raid’s Joe Taslim and directed by Justin Lin.
