Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans are set to star in The Gray Man for Netflix, according to Deadline‘s Mike Fleming Jr.. The film further reunites Evans with directing duo, MCU favorites Anthony and Joe Russo, and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The update comes following years of the IP’s languishing development, firstly at New Regency, and most recently at Sony under the stewardship of The Russo Brothers as of 2015 via The Tracking Board. At the time of that particular report, actress Charlize Theron was circling the project, and no word of it is mentioned in Fleming Jr.’s new report. The film is based on the 2009 novel from Jove Books – the first of a four-novel set from author Mark Greaney – and centers on “a deadly duel between killers as Gentry (Gosling) is hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort of Gentry’s at […]
A new report at Deadline revealed on Monday that producer and director Joe Russo has locked a deal to pen the script for Extraction 2 for Netflix. The first film launched on the streamer on April 24, signaling a reunion for Joe and brother Anthony Russo, producing out of their AGBO banner, with industry stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave making his feature debut, and Chris Hemsworth starring and producing. The report insists that Hemsworth may return, though one small detail Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr. notes is that “…Several of the characters had past stories though, so there is […]

Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway starred in the title role in the 1968 flick from director Norman Lewison. The film centers on a billionaire businessman/career thief who ensues a romance with a beautiful insurance investigator when his latest job lands him on her radar. Director John McTiernan remade the film with a different ending in 1999 at the time with Pierce Brosnan […]

Today in stunt professionals taking the mantle, Thursday’s report from Deadline confirms India kidnap/extraction drama, Dhaka, to be filmed in India and Thailand for Netflix. Relatively known as Thor, MCU franchise star, actor Chris Hemsworth will lead the action thriller that tells of an emotional coward who comes to terms with his sense of self to liberate a kidnapped Indian boy. Hemsworth will be rejoined by Hollywood stunt multi-hyphenate Sam Hargrave who will make his directorial debut. Hargrave fits right in the mold next to some of today’s best and brightest talents in stunts and film, getting his start years ago with a training team of his own called Reel Kick, to climbing the ladder, performing and doubling for actors on set, to now shepherding major action sequences on some of today’s biggest films – namely including The Hunger Games franchise, both Captain America and Avengers titles of late, Atomic […]
