INTO THE BADLANDS Is Cancelled, Will Premiere Final Eight Episodes In March

Word may have gotten around earlier on but the trades are now officially reporting the cancellation of AMC’s hit series, Into The Bandlands. The show launched on the network in 2015, created by Al Gough and Miles Millar set 500 years after a war that left civilization in ruins. Sunny, the best of the best among “clippers” who kill in service of their barron, aspires for a life away from the badlands all while keeping watch of a young boy with a mysterious gift, and amidst the deadly political upheaval among barrons warring for power and fortune. I’ve rarely had the opportunity to enjoy television. Streaming apps like Netflix were just what the doctor ordered and so you’re reading the words of a man who just wrapped up seven seasons of AMC hit series graphic novel adaptation, The Walking Dead, inside a three-month period. It’s become very clear that AMC TV is the go-to for a lot of TV viewers favorable of their favorite genres, and much to the delight in recent months with the addition of the comic book adaptation, Preacher. Accordingly, executive producer Seth Rogen enthusiastically made the announcement on Twitter that the network has picked up the series with word from Deadline that a May 2016 premiere may be in the works for up to ten episodes.
