Brothers Joey (Jesse Kove) and Steve Calderon (Pete Passaro) are part of a martial arts dynasty with a school run by their father, Mike (Martin Kove). While both were raised tough in the wake of their mother’s death, one brother chose to walk a path different from the other.
Breaking Glass Pictures will release director Joe Gawalis’s Bare Knuckle Brawler on VOD and DVD on November 5. The cast is led by Martial Arts Hall Of Famer Pete Passaro with actors Martin Kove, Jesse Kove, William DeMeo and Danny Trejo for good measure, and features stunt and fight scene action by New York City locals Hector Soria and Orlando Cruz.
Sometime last year I was made aware of actor and filmmaker Joe Gawalis’ third feature, Bare Knuckle Brawler. That film has since taken to a few exclusive festival screenings which explains the quotes on artwork, and now bares an official trailer to make its case to the public.
