You know a film is going to be good when it opens with a bloody assassination. Directed and written by Brandon Cronenberg, Possessor is the first sci-fi thriller of 2020 and honestly I think this movie would have to be in my top-five of the year. Like I said, it opens with a bloody assassination and then the assassin…kills themself. What? Scene change to the explanation: Tasya is an assassin for a company, but these aren’t some old-fashioned Kill Bill-type of assassinations where you pretend to be a person delivering flowers to off your target.
