It was back around June of 2018 that details finally emerged for Breakarate, Zack Stoltz’s neon-lit, 80’s-infused throwback martial arts comedy series. It included a world premiere at SeriesFest from Gunpower & Sky, and now it appears it’s finally landed a home, premiering Friday, May 15 on Amazon Prime. Blending influences from hallmark hits such as Breakin’, Gymkata, and The Karate Kid, Breakarate centers on adopted brothers Blake (Trevor Logan) and Lance Thompson (Brian Siregar), longtime students of the ancient art of Breakarate who stumble across the hidden Chain of Beats in the basement of The Rec.
