REDEEMER: Chad Law-Penned Action Pic From Bluegrass Taps Latin American Female Cinematographer For Directing Debut
Screenwriter Chad Law (Daylight’s End, Drive Hard) will reteam with noted cinematographer, now debut director Carmen Cabana for action thriller, Redeemer. Production is slated for the summer with Bluegrass Pictures CEO Joel Shapiro serving as producer. Redeemer centers on a former Catholic priest who has renounced his faith and religious ties to enact violent retribution against the gang who murdered his mentor and fellow priests. The very linchpin of his revenge campaign is ultimately tied to his own past, in a story that will soon force him to take stock of his own violent acts, and perhaps help return him back to a path of faith and hopeful redemption. “I am very excited to bring a female perspective to it and be a part of this fantastic project.
