Watch The New Teaser For REVENGE OF THE POMEGRANATE TREE HILL

Thirteen years is quite a long time for a man to exact his revenge. For director Setsuto Wakamatsu, that’s plenty of time, and a perfect set up for his new film, Revenge Of The Pomegranate Tree Hill (Zakuro Zaka no Adauchi), based on a 2003 short story compilation by author and novelist Jiro Asada. The first teaser is out as of late last month, and it introduces a more contemplative nature for the film, which is good. Contemplation can lead to character development, suspense and tension, and at the end of it all, a climatic clashing of swords! Perfect isn’t it? Japan Sets Ablaze In The New Trailer For RUROUNI KENSHIN: KYOTO INFERNO!

While Japanese households will catch actor Takeru Satoh on his latest gig in Fuji TV’s new action comedy series, Bitter Blood, the action will continue this summer on the big screen with the actor reprising his role once more in the sequel chambara thriller, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno as the unwitting samurai forced to pick up his sword and defend Japan against the “Jupponagata” (Ten Swords), led by a ruthless assassin, played by Tatsuya Fujiwara. The film is the first of a two-part finale filmed back to back last year following the success of its successful 2012 predecessor, Rurouni Kenshin, based on Nobuhiro Watsuki’s original manga from Shueisha and directed by Keishi Otomo who helms the current film trilogy. Eigapedia recently forwarded details of a scene from the upcoming release of director Keishi Otomo‘s next film, Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire Arc, involving lead actor Takeru Satoh and co-star Ryunosuke Kamiki. The page detailed the on-location scene and setting, illustrating the assassination of historical Japanese statesman, Okubo Toshimichi, played Kazufumi Miyazawa (lead singer and songwriter of Japanese band, The Boom), leading up to a confrontation between lead character Himura Kenshin and Seta Sojiro, played by Satoh and Kamiki, respectively.
