Millenium, Cinelou Revive Efforts To Reboot RED SONJA
MGM/UA More than thirty years since the actress Bridgette Nielsen’s iconic portrayal of fantasy Marvel character Red Sonja, reports at Deadline have it on good terms that Millenium Media are back on top of efforts to reboot the classic IP for the big screen. The character was originally recreated by Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor with partial inspiration from Robert E. Howard’s own shortstory work from the 1930s, and centers on a young girl from the Western Hyrkanian steppes who trains and sets out to seek revenge for her own rape and the murder of her family. “We have been waiting for the right time for this remake, and with the success of Wonder Woman, the audience has spoken.
