Actor Jason Statham is no stranger to action movies. At 45, Statham has become a major milestone in the action genre, namely with films such as The Transporter franchise, Parker, War, The Mechanic and his role among some of the best of the best in all star action movies in The Expendables trilogy. The latest film to make headlines this year along with Dustin Nguyen’s new film, Once Upon A Time In Vietnam, is a largely English-language action crime thriller made in Thailand called Angels from Gear Head Company and Kaos Entertainment. A new trailer was released online last week for director Jin Hyoung-tae’s upcoming noir Korean gangster action thriller, Good Friends (tentatively titled “Sweet Dream” earlier in production). The film stars Yeon Jeong-hun, Kazuki Kitamura, Lee Ji-hoon and Kim Young-hoon in a story about a mysterious murder takes place amidst upheaval among the local gangs and the yakuza, and the ultimate search for the truth, and the mole within their ranks. The film also stars Sung Hyuk and actress Choi Jung-won, and is slated for a South Korea theatrical release on March 28, 2013. Twitch unveiled the latest new and official poster for the upcoming Vietnamese martial arts gangster thriller, Bụi Đời Chợ Lớn (a.k.a. Cho Lon). From the team that brought you Clash and The Rebel, Bụi Đời Chợ Lớn is described as an epic gangster story that takes place in a town in Saigon, depicting the lives of four intersecting main characters played by Johnny Trí Nguyễn (who is also serving as action director), Hoàng Phúc, Long Điền and Hà Hiền in a 24-hour period. The film also stars Huỳnh Bích Phương, Hoàng Phi and Nhung Kate and will see a wide release in Vietnam on April 19, 2013. If you haven’t seen the English trailer yet, you can check it out below. Produced by Jimmy Pham Nghiem and directed by Charlie Nguyen, Bụi Đời Chợ Lớn is described as an epic gangster story that takes place in a town in Saigon, regarding the complex relationships between four main characters played by Johnny Trí Nguyễn (who is also serving as action director), Hoàng Phúc, Long Điền and Hà Hiền.
