Actress Samara Weaving has been a cinematic gift in recent memory with films like Mayhem, Ready Or Not and The Babysitter to name a few. This time, she’s got Daniel Radcliffe in her sights as an exponential killer in Guns Akimbo, from Deathgasm helmer Jason Lei Howden following strong turnouts at Toronto’s TIFF and at Fantastic Fest in Austin. Crime Thriller BEAST OF BURDEN Roars Online In The Official Trailer

Actor Daniel Radcliffe is especially set to make some noise in the coming year following Greg McLean’s harrowing survival biopic, Jungle. Turning once more to Momentum Pictures this week, we now get a glimpse at the official trailer for Jesper Ganslandt’s Beast Of Burden setting up a good deal of crime and suspense in its narrative with Radcliffe front and center. Pilot Sean Haggerty (Daniel Radcliffe) must deliver cocaine across the US-Mexico border for his final run as a drug smuggler. Alone in a small plane, he is faced with the burden of choosing between his allegiance to the Cartel, his deal with the Drug Enforcement Administration and saving his increasingly tense relationship with his wife, eagerly awaiting his return. Altitude Films and Occupant Entertainment is reportedly aiming toward Cannes with their latest action thriller, Guns Akimbo. Actor Daniel Radcliffe, recently seen on the set of Jesper Ganslandt’s Beast Of Burden is set to star in the film with Deathgasm helmer James Lei Howden directing. Radcliffe will star from Howden’s screenplay as Miles, an ordinary guy who is forced to compete in a violent, gladiator-like darkweb Viking tournament against other heavily armed opponents to save his kidnapped girlfriend. Occupant’s Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino are producing while Hyperion’s Michael Mailis and Altitude’s Will Clarke and Andy Mayson will executive produce. per Variety: “Jason Lei Howden is an incredibly talented new filmmaker, who with ‘Guns Akimbo’ delivers a commercial action film that is original, fresh and gives us unique and exciting characters. Action Crime Thriller BEAST OF BURDEN Now Filming With Daniel Radcliffe Starring

Currently rolling cameras in Savannah, Georgia is the new action crime thriller, Beast Of Burden. Swedish filmmaker Jesper Ganslandt is making his English-language directorial debut from a script by Adam Hoelzel with Daniel Radcliffe piloting his way as a border drug runner who works regularly to avoid cartels and the DEA among other obstacles during jobs. Actor Lawrence Fishburne plays a cartel handler who helps him in the process while actress Grace Gummer plays his wife who helps him escape the threat of the cartels. Paul Schiff is producing with Michael Diamond of MGMT Entertainment, Green-Light’s Chad Moore and Jeff Elliott and financiers Mary Aloe, Sean Glover and Wei Wang of WYSJ Media and Aloe Entertainment Productions.
