Vendetta star, actor Danny Dyer is back as a killer on the run from his employers in the writer, producer and director J.K. Amalou‘s latest, Assassin. Multiple Media Entertainment Inc. is releasing the film on July 1 with Dyer starring alongside Martin Kemp and Gary Kemp whilst lending U.K. audiences some more action for its local niche. The folks over at UK-based Richwater films issued a press release several days ago ahead of the upcoming UK home release of the new revenge action thriller, Vendetta, starring Danny Dyer. The press release mainly focuses on anti-piracy and the networked stealing of films, a common and growing problem over many years which highly affected many areas of film industry, especially studios who produce smaller budgeted pictures. Producer Jonathan Sothcott addressed the issue in the following press release, as well as his recent interview with WhatDVD.net‘s own Darren Jamieson published on Friday.To put it plainly, the message is quite simple: Piracy hurts the industry and other fans who enjoy movies. Following the airing of a first trailer and Anchor Bay’s acquisition announced back in June, Daily Star has an exclusive new trailer for the latest gritty U.K. urban vigilante revenge thriller, Vendetta (not to be confused with that of SG Action’s newest original short film). Written and directed by Stephen Renyolds, the film is the first of a double header for lead actor Danny Dyer who is currently slated for another film to be released this February titled Assassin, as the world of British action cinema continues to roll out its own brand of real world, hard core, suspenseful action films that boil right down to the barebones of human talent rather than CGI.
