Lee Seong-tae found his way to audiences in 2016 with his feature directing debut, Derailed. Featuring SHINee band member Minho in his first lead role in a film, the film also stars 2EYES member Jung Da-eun, Baek Soo-min, and actors Lee You-jin and Ma Dong-seok (a.k.a. Don Lee). Derailed centers on the story of Jin-il, Ga-young, Bong-gil and Min-kyung, young adult runaways who move from place to place and constantly maintain through stealing what they can for a quick buck. Trying to manage a roof over their heads for the night after losing their latest prospect, Ga-young offers to sell herself, only to be located by Hyung-suk, a brutish karaoke bar owner searching for his missing car. Runaways Fight For Survival In The International Trailer For Lee Seong-Tae’s Feature Debut, DERAILED

Marking the directorial feature debut of Lee Seong-Tae, an international trailer is currently running for the new coming-of-age action noir, Derailed which premiered in earlier October at Busan. The film follows Lee’s own string of shortfilm successes dating back to 2001 with Black Crow and Rough Words For Kind Words, as well as his multi-selected festival favorite The Ten-Minute Break in 2007. The largely young cast is ripe with mostly debut lead roles; K-Pop idols, actor Min Ho of SHINee and actress Da-Eun of 2EYES star from Lee’s script which sees the tale of a family-like group of young teenage runaways who find themselves way in over their heads when a desperate money making scheme pits them against an evil Karaoke bar owner with much more lacivious intentions.
