I made a pretty YUGE deal of director Lee Thongkam’s sophomore directing gig, The Last One, in a few pieces I’ve done dating back to my interview with actress and martial artist Yadi Nieves who also worked on the project. I’ve nary heard a word from the director so we know about as much as everyone does about this project which appears to be at least several years in the making. An official trailer is already due following a few gems now rendered completely invisible to the internet in the past few years. My weekend was slow, but unnecessarily relaxing. Part of it included getting the prizes ready from our recent Blu-Ray giveaways for Iron Protector and The Prison and the latter contest ends in a matter of hours… I’m JUST saying… By the by, the Hit List is back and fashioning another round of great stunt reels and some of today’s best in independent online action. Caitlin Hutson jumpstarts the week with her latest parkour reel followed by actor Tien Hoang brandishing some sharp weaponry in his new training demo. I may have to take a break from the Hit List next week so as to catch up on projects as well as movies. I miss watching movies these days…it’s funny. WHERE DISTINCTION MEETS PURPOSE: An Interview With Actress, Producer And Filmmaker Yadi Nieves

It took me quite a bit to get the nerve up to strike a conversation with actress, dancer, filmmaker and producer Yadi Nieves. She’s beautiful, relatable, and so happens to be one of the most fiercest talents I’ve seen on screen, especially when it comes to screenfighting. I chalk much of this up to her dance background in accordance with her growing ability to pick up on choreography as well, something she so demonstrates in many of the shortfilms under production banner, Distinctive Light Entertainment.
