Having extensively covered Universal Pictures’s famed Fast franchise, this week’s latest bit of coverage has to be the closest I’ve come. It’s primarily attributed to the forthcoming live show which kicks off in London in January and obviously with a film saga so action packed, of course it’s going to need a crew of some very talented stunt performers to take to task the very feats attendees can expect. Well, my weekend was all work and no play, but I did get to view a handful of shortfilms and a terrific independent feature film well on its way. Reviews will arrive in due time, while I’ve since gathered up what I could for this week’s installment of The Hit List, and I hope it suits your fancy. When I started preparing this list, I honestly didn’t think I would come across as many videos time around. Sure, there would be a few gems worth sharing, but it’s safe to say I pretty much out-did myself. I’m not a part of the gaming culture so video games are a bit alien to me these days. But I do take notice when fans of certain franchises come out of the woodwork to put together some of the most amazing and inspired fan-attributed projects ever to hit the internet. One such case is Ubisoft’s new action adventure game, Watch Dogs, and independent filmmaker Devin Graham has delivered his own inspired take on the popular upcoming product with a brand new parkour-enfused shortfilm now available on his YouTube channel in the embed below. A little bit of classic Muhammad Ali audio gets featured in Tempest Freerunning’s latest video edit this week, Bad Dood. The new short video, shot on location at Venice Beach showcases two of its own, Gabriel Nuñez and Luci Romberg, with fellow freerunning pro-athlete and stuntman Pasha Petkuns, who hails all the way from Thailand by way of Team Farang. It is pretty much what it is-three of the world’s most highly acclaimed performers doing what they love in a sport that continues to cultivate its way through the mainstream, by way of TV, film, and for some, as a way of life. I don’t get to cover a lot of Parkour and tricking on my site, as much as I should. The kind of things that freerunners are capable of never fail to blow minds, particularly in the case of Flow’s latest video featuring UK freerunner and filmmaker, Toby Segar, who’s been running leaps and bounds since the age of eleven. Now, at nineteen, it’s safe to say that Segar has become quite exceptional at his craft, something that has turned out to be beneficial for the folks at Parkour clothing apparel company, Take Flight.
