This one threw me for a loop. I have to say, looking at the title and the cast for Greg Mottola’s Keeping Up With The Joneses. I didn’t expect this to be what it was, but after watching the trailer, I can honestly say I’m sold. SYNOPSIS: An ordinary suburban couple (Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher) finds it’s not easy keeping up with the Joneses (Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot) – their impossibly gorgeous and ultra-sophisticated new neighbours – especially when they discover that Mr. and Mrs. “Jones” are covert operatives. It’s been two days since veteran television showrunner Michelle MacLaren reportedly left Warner Bros. long-awaited production of its forthcoming DCCU property, Wonder Woman, following her attachment to the film back in November last year. Alas, it was probably good that the studio stayed awake and in case things didn’t work out right away, and luckily, troubleshooting this one issue wasn’t so difficult. Word from THR states that Patty Jenkins has been tapped to replace McLaren who departed the film citing “creative differences”. Jenkins is best known for her work on her multi-award-winning 2003 debut crime pic, Monster, and was once tappd to direct the 2013 release of Thor: The Dark World herself before Terminator Genisys helmer Alan Taylor took the chair. Without further delay, word from The Hollywood Reporter announced that Michelle MacLaren has officially signed on to direct the forthcoming Wonder Woman feature film, based on the original comic book superheroine created in 1941. MacLaren‘s attachment comes just a month after it was stated that a female director was being sought after for the film, for which actress Gal Gadot was formally brought on to star in the title role almost a year ago. The film would mark the first of a trilogy to fit somewhere in between the latter four years of the current WB/DCU schedule with Wonder Woman set to release on June 23, 2017. Long after at least one failed television show with another barely seeing the light of day, fans and followers of DC Comics’s efforts to bring forth the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster Man Of Steel have been clamoring over whether or not Wonder Woman would appear in the film, and if so, which actress would qualify to play her.
