While the wait has surely been long, it may undoubtedly turn out to be worth it for DC Comics fans rooting for actress Gal Gadot in the wake of premiering this year in Zack Snyder’s Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice as superheroine favorite, Wonder Woman. Just in time for her 75th anniversary celebration, Comic-Con International is readying the amazonian savior’s promotional run of her new standalone feature film from Monster helmer Patty Jenkins whose appointment as director of the big scale DC property from Warner Bros. hasn’t been without its stumbles, and needless to say, the first phase of the hard part is finally over.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
