Pain Runs Deep In The New Trailer For PUNCTURE WOUNDS

Lionsgate’s newest trailer has gone viral this week for the upcoming March 11, 2014 release of revenge action thriller, Puncture Wounds. The film has been a noted passion project for its lead action star, martial artist and MMA celebrity Cung Le for several years now since its earlier conception as its former title, A Certain Justice. To be honest though, the first title sounded like a better seller. In hindsight, however, the name change probably won’t affect the film’s delivery as a whole while action fans have yet another reason to enjoy action movies going into the new year, headlined by directors Giorgio Serafini and James Coyne.

Pitched as a gritty cross between Rambo: First Blood and No Country For Old Men, Puncture Wounds stars Le as a former soldier with PTSD forced to arm himself once more against the Aryan Brotherhood to avenge his family. As with his 2012 hit Dragon Eyes, Le also coordinated the action sequences with training partner, co-star, stunt coordinator and fight choreographer Scott Sheeley, and guest fight choreographer Jimmy Lui.

Le also produced the film with Skin Trade actor, blockbuster action star Dolph Lundgren who plays the villain. Actress Briana Evigan and actors Vinnie Jones, James C. Burns, Jonathan Kowalsky and Jake Jacobson round out the cast.

SYNOPSIS:

After returning home from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq, John finds himself struggling with PTSD. What little peace he had managed to build around him is shattered one fateful day when he rescues a local call girl from a group of violent Aryan Brotherhood pimps. Having killed several of the high-ranking brotherhood during the rescue, John and his family are now the prime targets of Hollis, the ruthless criminal leader of the group.
