The hit HBO series Barry is set to return for its fourth and final season on April 16, and we now have an official poster and teaser to signal the hype. The show will see Bill Hader back in the saddle once more along with a cast that joins Hader with Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, and Anthony Carrigan. Hader co-created the series and serves as exec producer alongside Alec Berg. I got to catch up on the series sometime last year and it’s one the most fun times I’ve had on the couch, with plenty of whipsmart dialogue and characters that resonate on screen really well, along with some exciting character moments and action with Hader in a version nary seen of him on screen. THE LAST OF US Scores A Second Season From HBO

HBO is renewing hit series The Last Of Us for a second season, the broadcaster announced on Friday. The show takes its cues from the critically acclaimed video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog, and is currently out with two episodes garnering major approval from fans and critics in the last few weeks. Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are the writers and executive producers on the show starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the respective roles of Joel and 14-year old Ellie, the survivors of a monstrous fungal pandemic that turns its victims into hosts for an incurable disease that transforms them into parasitic monsters. Twenty years after tragically losing his daughter in the fallout, once again Joel must take on a renewed role this time as Ellie’s protector when he learns of her weeks-old false-positive infection, which could lead to a possible cure. HOUSE OF THE DRAGON: First Look Stills From The Upcoming ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel

A year and a half since its announcement and with cameras now rolling, WarnerMedia and HBO have unveiled the first official images from the upcoming drama series, House Of The Dragon. The show is based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” novel – drawn from his own manuscript in 2014 and is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, centeted on the story of House Targaryen. The gallery below features the select cast in full regalia: Olivia Cooke as “Alicent Hightower” and Rhys Ifans as “Otto Hightower”; Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, “The Sea Snake”; and Emma D’Arcy as “Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen” and Matt Smith as “Prince Daemon Targaryen”. GREENLAND: Gerard Butler Action Adventure Reroutes Release Plans To PVOD, HBO/HBO Max

Director Ric Roman Waugh’s new disaster survival epic, Greenland, is instead resolving toward home release status, according to a company press release issued on Thursday by ErosSTX Global Corporation. The Gerard Butler action adventure will debut on HBO, and then stream on HBO Max in the U.S. in early 2021, following a domestic release on Premium Video On-Demand (PVOD) beginning October 13. The film had been previously set to release in the summer before pushing to last month last month, only to pull its planned theatrical release as the pandemic crisis continued to affect theatrical exhibitors’ ability to open. The film centers on John Garrity (Gerard Butler), who along with his estranged wife and son, make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary in a race against a planet-killing comet. Not gonna lie. My work schedule made it difficult to keep up with Game Of Thrones all these years and so the likelihood of avoiding passing spoilerific mentions of it will be about as imminent as my next breath. Gladly enough the show has been immortalized as a global hit and so the fans are definitely in for more medieval fantasy action and adventure though as HBO has finalized ten-episode straight-to-series order, House Of The Dragon. Zack Snyder’s 2009 graphic novel adaptation, Watchmen, was never the hit many thought it should have been. Thankfully the cult following it accrued has all but kept the fandom alive along with other treatments and now, to add, a live-action series coming to HBO this Fall with a story centered on new characters.
