Mass shootings are certainly a chilling subject matter. Far from being an escapist narrative in someways, leave it to writer and director Henry Dunham to scribe and craft together what aims to be worthwhile and intriguing thriller, tackling the issue with reverence and poise in RLJE Films’ The Standoff At Sparrow Creek. The film earned a fine round of reviews and responses from critics at this year’s TIFF.
