Dane DeHaan (Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Oppenheimer) and Sophie Turner (HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” Twentieth Century Fox’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix and X-Men Apocalypse) will star in crime thriller, Wardriver, which is currently being shopped at EFM by Highland Film Group with CAA Media Finance handling domestic.

Highland Film Group is off to the races for the upcoming European Film Market with their slate this year, including action sci-fi thriller 57 Seconds starring Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) and Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games movies).
Aaron Eckhart will star in Muzzle, the new thriller from director/producer John Stalberg Jr. (Lionsgate’s Crypto). The film is set to shoot in July from a script by Carlyle Eubank (Focus Features’ The Signal), and storied by Eubank and Stalberg Jr., with co-financing by Los Angeles-based sales company Highland Film Group who are also handling worldwide rights at the upcoming European Film Market.
Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari, The Forever Purge) is set to star in The Black Demon, from director Adrian Grunberg (Rambo: Last Blood, Get the Gringo). Lucas will star from a script by Boise Esquerra (Austin Film Festival nominated “Blackwater”), with cameras set to roll in December 2021 on location in the Dominican Republic.
Upcoming comedy-horror film Slayers has been picked up for worldwide sales and release in 2022. Highland Film Group, a sales, financing, production and distribution company, specializes in the action/thriller/horror space and cast/director/filmmaker driven content. The film will be handled domestically by their US Distribution division, The Avenue, which was launched in 2020 and already has a catalog of films with stars from many genres, including Nicholas Cage, Pierce Brosnan, and Frank Grillo.
Highland Film Group is proudly revealing a first look at actor Avan Jogia’s directorial debut, Door Mouse, which you can view above. Cameras recently wrapped on the neo-noir thriller which stars Hayley Law (CW’s “Riverdale,” Netflix’s “Altered Carbon”), Keith Powers (The Tomorrow War, Straight Outta Compton), Famke Janssen (Redeeming Love, When They See Us, X-Men) and Donal Logue (The Cloverfield Paradox, Zodiac).
Hailed as the first in a trilogy, the recent wrap of principal photography in Puerto Rico for action thriller, Fortress, is here to underscore its milestone with a first look photo to view above. Currently underway is the production of heist thriller, Bandit, based on author Robert Knuckle’s best-selling novel and journalist Ed Arnold’s interviews with Gilbert Galvan Jr, who lived under the name Robert Whiteman when he was dubbed the Flying Bandit in 1987.

Highland Film Group has since hit the international sales floor at the Cannes market with word that principal photography has since wrapped in different locations across the United States.
Highland Film Group unveiled the first look at Herbert James Winterstern (NBC’s “Siberia”) new movie, Supercell. The film, which toplines Alec Baldwin from a script by Winterstern and co-writer Anna Elizabeth James (Deadly Illusions), just wrapped principal photography in Montana and Georgia in the U.S. from Short Porch Pictures and Thomasville Pictures.

Zone 414 helmer Andrew Baird’s new action thriller, One Way, landed multiple deals on Tuesdsy. Highland Film Group is handling worldwide sales rights on the film which stars Colson Baker, Kevin Bacon and Storm Reid.
Highland Film Group’s U.S. distribution offshoot, The Avenue, is slating a summer theatrical 2021 joint release with Paramount Pictures handling Blu-Ray, DVD, VoD and Digital rights for action heist thriller, The Misfits. Highland also reps international sales on the pic which wrapped principal photography in Abu Dhabi prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
