Following a press release unveiled a few weeks ago, we now have a new IMAX trailer for next month’s one-week engagement of the upcoming blockbuster World War II epic, Stalingrad 3D from director Fedor Bondarchuk. Perhaps one of the most notable things about Jackie Chan films as of late is that they aren’t as commercialized in America as they used to be in the late 1990’s when Chan was crossing over. Nowadays it seems his films are now bumped down to limited screens in specific theaters, as was the case with the recently released CZ12. That said, Chan‘s latest return to the big screen with director Ding Sheng for Police Story 2013 is getting an IMAX release at home. Based on the newest trailer, the film looks really gritty, true-to-form and hardcore as one could hope for a cop movie starring Chan as he switches gears just a little bit. IMAX Corporation has announced that Keanu Reeves‘ martial arts directorial debut, Man Of Tai Chi will play on IMAX screens in select cities on October 24, 2013 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston and New York. Circulating the internet like wildfire is the latest new announcement from IMAX regaridng the upcoming release of Thor: The Dark World. Just in time for those Thor Halloween costumes to start selling, Marvel is reformatting the film for an earlier IMAX release. The news comes after the release of the newest theatrical trailer for the film, in addition to director Alan Taylor‘s public announcement that he and the crew are adding and reshooting more scenes with co-star Tom Hiddleston who plays Thor’s adopted evil brother-in-arms, Loki, which is interesting considering that Loki won’t be appearing at all in The Avengers 2.
