GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 3 Lands Itself The Writer/Director You Were Hoping It Would Be
Well, this week we start the U.S. press junket, before traveling to Europe at the end of the week. Of course I know some of the questions that come up a lot – “Wasn’t there a lot more pressure dealing with the sequel of a beloved film?” (No, there was less, because this time I knew there was an audience waiting to see it!) and, “What was it like working with Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone?” (Daunting and at times overwhelming – I ran around in my backyard as a kid pretending to be Snake Plissken and John Rambo, so these guys are true icons to me.)
“DIE SPACESHIP!!!” Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 Gets A Brand New Trailer And Poster
Marvel
2017 has turned up a good handful of widely approving cinema in recent weeks and no less, James Gunn’s Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 2 shares the mantle. It’s hugely deserved too, especially at this point with the first film holding up impressively at the box office and becoming the top grossing film of the summer in 2014, followed by news of the sequel’s 100 rating among private viewing attendees besting Iron Man and The Avengers.
Of course, this all stands on the fact that the first film simply rocked in more ways than several, with a lively retro soundtrack as the musical bed setting the tone of a tale centered on a young boy spirited away into space and ultimately becoming the one of the universe’s greatest assets in fighting the evil forces that threaten Earth and other planets. That mission continues on May 5 when Chris Pratt, Zoë Saldana, Dave Bautista, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel return among the usual suspects to face greater threats that eventually span into the current production of Avengers: Infinity War slated for next year.
For all that and more, we are graced with a brand new trailer hitting even more of the right notes with action, spectacle, laughs and a closer that finally addresses the curiosity of fans regarding the story, all cued to the tune of Fleetwood Mac. The trailer premiered late Tuesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC and you can now view it below in addition to a brand new poster just beneath.
