Sylvester Stallone Reloads In The New Trailer For THE EXPENDABLES 3!

The action takes center stage in the latest trailer for director Patrick Hughes‘s newest cinematic contribution to the Hollywood action hero brand that aligns old school action vets with a new generation of young guns ready to rock and roll. That particular brand lies in the new film, The Expendables 3, which takes the story to a whole new level of danger that brings back Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Jet Li and Arnold Schwarzenegger with mixed bag of new faces, including Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Glen Powell, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, Kelsey Grammer and Harrison Ford opposite the new lead villain, played by Mel Gibson. The film also took to a new level of criticism about a month ago when word got out that the third installment was going to be rated PG-13 by the MPAA, essentially breaking tradition from the first […]

No More Transporting For Statham Who Boards THE MECHANIC 2

Actor Jason Statham continues his hot streak in 2014 headed off by the release of a few new films between now and next this year. For longtime fans however, Statham‘s success as a mainstay in blockbuster Hollywood action cinema came much earlier as the actor left his mark under the craft of acclaimed action choreographer Corey Yuen for The Transporter trilogy between 2002 and 2007. The trilogy itself centered on the action-packed story of former SAS operative Frank Martin who has settled for the quiet life in France while moonlighting as a highly paid delivery man who transports goods for anyone as long as they pay him and operate by his rules to ensure his own safety as well as the job’s completion, unless situations arise forcing him to break his own rules. The franchise garnered a worldwide box office total of well over $220 million dollars, followed by the […]

Fortunately, some managed to see past the used footage and waited a little longer for the actual teaser trailer itself, which is now online courtesy of Lionsgate. The teaser also comes in light of news that Raze co-star, actress Zoë Bell is in talks to star in the upcoming all-female spin-off, The ExpendaBelles from Millenium Films, the same studio behind the Expendables trilogy. More news to be announced real soon we hope. Arriving on August 15, 2014, The Expendables 3 is directed by Patrick Hughes and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger, with Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, Glen Powell and Kelsey […]

Watch Two Clips From HOMEFRONT!

Actor Jason Statham made headlines on Tuesday in a published interview at Vanity Fair to promote his upcoming film, Homefront. Having been a seasoned actor stunt performer and screenfighter for well over a decade, Statham ardently expressed support for the stunt community in favor of an Oscar category for industry stuntmen and women, claiming it as an “injustice” to ignore them when awarding actors who don’t genuinely do their own stunts. “I think it is an overlooked category,” Statham told us, especially considering “how much responsibility these coordinators have for some of the greatest entertainment in action movies. I mean, all of the stunt men—these are the unsung heroes. They really are. Nobody is giving them any credibility. They’re risking their necks. And then you’ve got poncy actors pretending like they’re doing [the stunts].” Without question, Statham probably extends that same support for the stuntmen bearing the brunt of the […]

Fans of number six will remember Rodriguez during her previous bout with cinematic action star, actress Gina Carano during their hardcore tests of skill and will in the escalator fight that was exceptionally put together by then-fight coordinator Olivier Schneider. A Shadow Of Evil Lurks In A New FAST AND FURIOUS 7 Set Pic

Statham in darkness. “How do you kill a shadow?” #F7 #noir pic.twitter.com/GCfcMgUWvo — James Wan (@creepypuppet) November 1, 2013 Fast And Furious 7 director James Wan tweeted a cryptic photo of actor Jason Statham on the set of the fourthcoming  emsemble action thriller. The photo is one of a slow and steady stream of photos being shared by Wan, actor Vin Diesel, and the cast and crew through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other sites. The photo itself is also a major tease which lends itself to a much bigger, unknown role Statham may be playing as the vengeful brother character of the late Fast And Furious 6 villain, Owen Shaw, played by Luke Evans. I could be wrong, but considering that Fast 7 will be the start of a new trilogy with more characters added to the film’s three part eneaology, I suspect we will see a lot more of […]

THE EXPENDABLES 3 Wraps In Bulgaria

Actor Sylvester Stallone took to Twitter to congratulate his fellow all-star cast members of The Expendables 3. The third installment of the franchise began filming in Bulgaria back in August as news of the film’s main cast members began arriving in the country trickled into the media. The production did see some slightly more adventerous turns with viral reports of actor Jason Statham‘s near-death experiences on the set of the film, which were clarified by Stallone and fellow lead Terry Crews since then. Needless to say, filming continued with Statham who finished his scenes prior to arriving in Atlanta, Georgia to reprise his Furious Six role in Fast And Furious 7 with fellow actor, action star Tony Jaa, and The Expendables 3 co-star Ronda Rousey. Releasing on August 15, 2014, The Expendables 3 stars Stallone, Statham, Crews and Rousey, along with Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li and Randy Couture, in addition to Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Victor […]

The New Red Band Trailer For HOMEFRONT Is Online

IGN featured the newest red band trailer for the upcoming release of director Gary Fleder‘s upcoming action thriller, Homefront. This particular trailer offers a just a little bit more depth in terms of what to expect from the various layers of the story beyond Jason Statham as a former NARC going up against a ruthless drug kingpin and his small army of misbehavers looking to have their asses handed to them by the Stath. The new trailer also shows some extra action as well, making for a great tease ahead of the film’s upcoming release on November 27 release. Check it out below: SYNOPSIS: HOMEFRONT stars Jason Statham as former drug enforcement agent, Phil Broker, a family man who moves off the grid with his daughter, to a seemingly quiet bayou backwater to escape his troubled past. However, Broker’s world soon becomes anything but quiet once he discovers that an […]

They say pictures tell a thousand words, but I wouldn’t argue if you were speechless in light of action star Tony Jaa‘s most recent Facebook post with the film’s villain, fellow action star Jason Statham. For the unengaged, the photo comes just a day or so after arriving on location in the state of Georgia, U.S.A. for the filming of director James Wan‘s Fast And Furious 7. Be advised though, as the photo is just a small tip of the iceberg that will also see Jaa on screen with the blockbuster cast that helped start it all, including Fast And Furious franchise star and producer Vin Diesel, actors Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, […]

In response to a follower asking if Johnson would come back on board, the actor tweeted, “I am. Time to dance w/ an old friend.. #RockvsStatham”. The tweet confirms a slowly progressing list of cast members who will be returning since Furious 6, along with new actors on board. Watch The New Trailer For HOMEFRONT

Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham can currently be seen in daily production photos for Patrick Hughes’ upcoming sequel ensemble action blowout, The Expendables 3 over at Expendables Premiere. However, the two are set for writer/producer and lead actor in director Gary Fleder‘s latest thrilling action drama, Homefront, which is set to arrive in theaters just in time for Thanksgiving. The trailer comes just days after AOL Moviefone debuted the official poster on their website on Tuesday. The poster also signals a film in which Statham appears to continue taking on a slightly softer image to help deviate from the usual action roles he’s known for, a method he went for in Steven Knight’s directorial debut, Redemption. Playing the role of a former DEA agent and single father forced to go toe-to-toe with the neighborhood crimeboss, Statham shared his most recent thoughts with USA Today on his evolution as an actor. Action Star Jason Statham Almost Drowns To Death On The Set Of THE EXPENDABLES 3

In a shocking, roughly English-translated update from Expendables Premiere forwarded from Bulgarian website, Skandalno.net, The Expendables 3 co-star Jason Statham nearly faced certain death while filming a dangerous stunt for the upcoming summer 2014 release. The report indicates that Statham was rushed to the Emergency Room after refusing to use a double to perform a stunt involving his character diving into a pond. When the actor did not re-emerge, the actor was rescued and taken to the hospital where he later regained conciousness and returned to work a while after the doctor reported his condition as non-threatening. Unfortunately, stunt risks are nothing new to the franchise, particularly for lead actor and action veteran Sylvester Stallone who received much-needed surgery for a hairline fracture in his neck after a walloping stunt during a fight with former wrestler turned action star Steve Austin on the set of The Expendables (2010). The 2012 […]

Film Of The Week: REDEMPTION (2013)

SYNOPSIS: Homeless and on the run from a military court martial, a damaged ex-special forces soldier navigating London’s criminal underworld seizes an opportunity to assume another man’s identity — transforming into an avenging angel in the process. REVIEW: Prior to a few other movies I ended up seeing recently in the past month after drafting this review, I got around to watching the North American release of Steven Knight’s directorial debut, Redemption. It is a much quieter action film and doesn’t take on many of the characteristics of your favorite Jason Statham-casted typical blockbuster popcorn flicks. Rather, the film is more poignant and character driven in the telling of its story about a fractured former soldier, Joey, wandering the streets among London’s homeless community with girlfriend, Isabel, played by Victoria Bewick. The film continues as Joey is injured while fighting back against a gang of thugs and seperated from Isabel […]

Jason Statham's HOMEFRONT Comes Home This Thanksgiving

Jason Statham may be flexing his acting muscles a little more in his latest film, Redemption from writer/director Steven Knight (thanks to David Fintcher). But that doesn’t mean action fans won’t get their share of Cockney-accented badassery with what Statham has lined, including his next film, Homefront, from writer/co-producer Sylvester Stallone and director Gary Fleder. And just in time for Turkey Day! After it was recently announced that Open Road would release the film on October 4, 2013, The Wrap confirmed on Thursday that the film would release on November 27, 2013, competing in its first week with against the family film, Frozen, followed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  Homefront, based on the novel by author Chuck Logan, focuses on a widowed ex-DEA agent who retires to a small town for the sake of his 10-year-old daughter, where he ends up tangling with the local meth druglord. The film also […]

Jason Statham On REDEMPTION: Not A Popcorn Movie

We have a new action clip coming from director Steven Knight’s latest film, Redemption. The clip pretty much shows some of what Statham is best known for on screen, which includes screen fighting, particularly since he is capable of doing most of his own stunts, generally. Ironically, in a recent interview posted at Scotsman.com, Statham suggests the film is anything but what fans suspect it to be. He confesses to the Edinburgh Evening News stating, “I make a lot of films that don’t have much depth to them – they’re more like popcorn movies. I’ve been hungry for something like this for some time, where I can show more emotion. When this came my way, I jumped up and down,”. He continues throughout the interview by saying that even though he himself enjoys the physicality and fighting elements of the character he plays, Knight’s film is “not a stunt extravaganza”, […]

Together they come up with a plan to foil the heist and get away without a hitch. He’s got a few gems rolling out soon enough, which include Redemption, Homefront, Heat, a possible appearance in The Expendables 3, and his explosive entrance in Fast And Furious 6 going […]
