Image Entertainment and RLJE Films are proudly releasing Jeff Barnaby’s indigenous zombie thriller, Blood Quantum, on VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray beginning September 1, 2020. The film stars Michael Greyeyes, Forrest Goodluck, Kiowa Gordon and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers.
First Nations director Jeff Barnaby’s new thriller, Blood Quantum, has had a festive campaign dating back to its Midnight Madness world premiere at TIFF. Shudder has since snagged rights to the pic which is now jumping ahead to its platform release as of Tuesday, April 28, signaling “Halfway To Halloween” for its release, in the wake of widespread cinema closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Woman Walks Ahead and Fear The Walking Dead series actor Michael Greyeyes leads the cast along with 2018 Sundance Institute Merata Mita Fellowship recipient Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers (On the Farm), and Forrest Goodluck (The Miseducation of Cameron Post, The Revenant). Rounding out the cast roster are Kiowa Gordon (The Twilight Saga, The Red Road), Olivia Scriven (Degrassi: Next Class, and The Next Generation, Giant Little Ones), Brandon Oakes (Rhymes for Young Ghouls, The Saver), William Belleau (Frontier, Scalped), Kawennahere Devery Jacobs (Rhymes for Young Ghouls, Cardinal), Gary Farmer (Dead Man, The Red Road), and Muay Thai expert and MMA trainer Stonehorse Lone Goeman round out the cast.
