Well, it’s been another close call but I finally managed to bring you this week’s installation of The Hit List for your own viewing pleasure. Last week was crazy packed with festival news upkeep from Asia along with posting our recent inteview with actress Yadi Nieves and managing to review Mitsutake Kurando’s new movie, Karate Kill, which releases this summer. Considering all this and then some, I’m ready for the weekend! My weekend needed more hours seeing as how the lack of sleep tends to wane on a person. Thankfully I got through it enough to finish this week’s Hit List, though I’ll be keeping some of these passages a bit more abbreviated. Well, I don’t know about you guys, but my weekend was another laid back one this summer. I haven’t been to the movies in a while and mostly due to work, but I have plenty of anime and film at home to keep me company, and that courtesy also extends to any number of the usual action shorts and stunt talents I find on the web. If you or someone you ever had or happens to have that one boss they work under at the job? You know-loud, obnoxious and openly cruel? Well, actor Darren Bailey surely harnesses one interpretation of this in one of his best comedic performances in the new shortfilm, The Scumbag Boss, from director Devin White, a.k.a. Kid Haru. The project is yet another in a slate of random eventful gatherings by Team Internet, longtime internet netizens listed in the forum at thestuntpeople.com who follow and work in the independent action film industry, making shortfilms whenever they regroup in the same city. SPRING IN MOTION: An Interview With KID HARU

Over the latter half my weekend, I got the opportunity to talk to 22-year old native Los Angelean, Devin White. On YouTube, viewers and fans know him as KidHaru – vlogger, tricker, gymnast, freerunner and indie filmmaker. You might be wondering what a name like “Kid Haru” means anyway. Well, I got that covered: KH: Kid is part of a long running gaming handle. My usernames were always Kid___. Haru is Japanese for spring. When I first created it, I thought it meant fire. I liked the element fire. So yeah. Now its funny since spring has nothing to do with me considering I was born in the winter. Aside from doing his own stuff, he also collaborates with other filmmakers and teams.
