Review: MEMOIR OF A MURDERER Deliniates A Solicitious, Compelling Profile With Ferocious Resolve

Won Shin-Yeon landed a healthy crowdpleaser in 2013 with the Gong Yoo-led espionage fugutive actioner, The Suspect. The former stuntman-turned-director has dabbled sufficiently in years prior with other genres like horror, comedy and suspense and for this, his latest novel adaptation, Memoir Of A Murderer, should generally prove a worthy blend of each for Won’s audience among others. The Suspect helmer Won Shin-Yeon is back and laying it on the line once more with his latest, Memoir Of A Murderer. The movie opens in Korea this September and headlines with an intense tale of a former serial killer suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease who finds himself pitted against another serial killer who happens to be dating his daughter. Attack The Gas Station and Deranged helmer Park Jung-Woo’s latest thriller, Pandora, is certain to score views around the world in 2017 when it hits Netflix. Until then, South Korea has first dibs on the new film which sees Kim Nam-gil (The Pirates) as a man who sets out to save his family and country from an impending atomic explosion following a devastating earthquake. Also starring are Kim Young-ae (The Attorney), Jung Jin-young (Miracle of Cell No. 7) and Kim Dae-myeong (Misaeng) with a release set for December. Well Go USA Releases THE PIRATES On DVD And Blu-Ray!

Of course, that reason is left open to interpretation with its mixture of reviews, but the film is finally available on DVD and Blu-Ray wherever movies are sold, courtesy of our friends at Well Go USA. SYNOPSIS: On the eve of the founding of the Joseon Dynasty, an unprecedented robbery shocks the nation-in-waiting: a whale has swallowed the Emperor’s Royal Seal, and a bounty placed on its retrieval. Actress Son Ye-jin is getting the spotlight this week for her role in the upcoming release of director Lee Seok-hoon‘s high seas action epic The Pirates. Based on a script by Cheong Seong-il, the new film sets Son as the leader of her own gang of pirates opposite a bandit named Sa-jung (Kim Nam-gil) who is in search of a royal seal believed to be swallowed by a large sea creature. The film is poised for an August 8 release in South Korea while dates overseas are yet to be determined.
