Someone really dropped the ball a while back on being one of the first to announce some key acquisition details on Kim Tae-gon’s latest sci-fi action horror, Project Silence. Thankfully, it wasn’t me, but at least the good folks at Rue Morgue are here to spread the gospel with the latest trailer now out from US distro label Capelight Pictures for its July 12 theatrical release. Little did anyone know that it would be the last we’d know of celebrated and award-winning actor Lee Sun-kyun, who faced months of scruitny before tragically passing away last December. The star of Kingmaker, Parasite, and Killing Romance is expected to appear posthumously in a few more titles after this, and that no doubt includes Kim’s new movie which now comes with a release date in South Korea for July 12. A desperate battle for survival unfolds on the airport bridge as lives hang in the balance. On his way to see his […]
The official trailer arrived this week for Project Silence, signaling another entry in the Cannes arena for screenings and sales activity. Fourth time director Kim Tae-gon also penned the script for the pic which screens Out Of Competition for the festival. Stranded on the Airport Bridge on the verge of collapsing, all survivors become targets! Due to sudden deteriorating weather conditions, visibility on the Airport Bridge is severely impaired, leaving people stranded and at risk of the bridge collapsing due to a series of chain collisions and explosions. Amidst the chaos, the canine subjects “Echo” from the military experiment “Project Silence,” who were being transported in secret, break free, and all human survivors become targets of relentless attacks. Various individuals find themselves stranded on the Airport Bridge for different reasons – a government official from the presidential office (LEE Sun Kyun) who was seeing off his daughter (KIM Su An) […]
