Loads Of Fisticuffs And Pistol Whipping In The Latest Independent Action Throwdown, EXTRACTION
Kicking off your Tuesday is a brand new action short piece from LBP Stunts Chicago independent action filmmaker Emmanuel Manzanares titled Extraction. Not to be confused with writer/director Tony Giglio’s latest work, Extraction is an original mini-project that focuses its plot on a rogue agent on the run from his pursuer.
Extraction reunites Manzanares with Canadian independent action film star Tyler Williams since their 2010 comedic action short, Manny Invades Toronto. Together, they are joined by actor and Thousand Pounds Action Company familiar Gui DaSilva, who lit up the internet quite a bit this summer performing with an ensemble cast for producer Travis Wong’s webseries, The Hunt.
Once more, Manzanares shows his incredible elevating potential once more in constructing innovative action sequences that continually look well-suited for much bigger films. And not for nothing either, being a multifaceted actor and filmmaker since 2007, with credits ranging from television and indie cinema, to performing stunts on the upcoming blockbuster sci-fi action adventure, Divergent.
That legacy of excellence he shares continues with today’s release of Extraction, as with future projects involving Williams who just re-emerged on Twitch last month with his 2012 film festival gritty action hit, All-In. Meanwhile, Manzanares and DaSilva will be making an ensemble appearance among a major handful of today’s biggest, brightest and gifted actors and screenfighters in Barrio Brawler co-star Dennis Ruel’s directorial feature debut, Unlucky Stars, later this year.

Around The Web: Check Out A New, Hard-Hitting Practice Clip From LBP STUNTS CHICAGO
Indie filmmaker Emmanuel Manzanares is back with another stunt practice clip featuring members of Chicago’s premier independent action stunt and film group, LBP Stunts Chicago, the same team that brought you such gems as Dogfight and the French-narrated Il Y A Toujours Une Solution. The clip is artfully delivered with its own little short story, narrated by captions that appear throughout, with Manzanres applying is usual noir-style vision of capturing creative, hard-hitting fight choreography on film, with LBP member Alex Hashioka serving as the lead.
LBP Stunts Chicago Features French Noir Action In IL Y A TOUJOURS UNE SOLUTION (There Is Always A Way)
One of my favorite stunt teams working today are the guys over at LBP Stunts Chicago, who are responsible for some of the most memorable independent action short film hits of the last several years. Some of these include the unfinished four-segmented noir action series, Those Who Go To Hell, Yo Soy Un Hombre Loco, and their latest internet success, Dogfight.
KEITH MIN: METHOD MAN
Keith views his time with LBP Stunts as a privilege he holds in high regard. He views his team members as some of his closest and dearest friends with whom he shares a bonding chemistry that he feels has always held them together to help accomplish great things, with a lot of memories to share along the way.
