LIVE BY NIGHT Tackles Prohibition-Era Crime And Drama In The First Trailer

Of course, before we see any of actor Ben Affleck back in the batsuit, he’ll be tackling some Prohibition-era upheaval in the new crime flick, Live By Night. Warner Bros. posted the trailer on Thursday night, leaving something pretty exciting for those already keen on the actor’s filmmaking credentials, as well as producing next to Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio among others. SYNOPSIS: Oscar winner Ben Affleck (“Argo”) directed and stars in the dramatic crime thriller “Live by Night.” Affleck also wrote the screenplay based on the award-winning best-seller by Dennis Lehane, marking the second collaboration for the fellow Boston natives, following the acclaimed drama “Gone Baby Gone.”  “Live by Night” is set in the roaring `20s when Prohibition hasn’t stopped the flow of booze in an underground network of gangster-run speakeasies. Ben Affleck To Resume Work On Prohibition-Era Flick, LIVE BY NIGHT For Tentative 2016 Date

Five years after adapting author Dennie Lehane’s 1998 crime novel, Gone Baby Gone for its 2007 theatrical release, Argo star and helmer, actor, producer and filmmkaer Ben Affleck was geared for another of Lehane’s work, a of Live By Night. Affleck‘s Pearl Street had been set to produce with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and a script by Affleck and a cast that would see him starring along with Sienna Miller and Zoë Saldana among those listed, although the actor’s obligations to other projects, including his March 2016 appearance in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice were a factor. That was then, on top of completing his recent January 2016-dated assassin flick, The Accountant several months ago, and now word from Variety states the actor will be back on track for the next four months to develop the film and tweak the script, and begin principal photography in November for a […]
