The Fall season really is off the hook. More stunt reels, more screenfighting gems and dazzling action shorts continue to flood your way, and as always, I’m more than gratified to help bring it to you…and with a bit of a throwback bonus at the end!… However, in the name of giving it up to the very people who make the action genre what it is today, first things first! Well, I’m certainly proud after last night. I don’t get to have too many adventures with stunt professionals, but when I do, they’re all inarguably some of the most fun experiences I continue to have. I guess I can only hope to share those experiences with even more people I include in the weekly Hit List…for now though, distance and affordability are my disadvantages. But that doesn’t stop me from bringing the action where it is, so… …let’s get this shindig started with a new playlist of stunt and action demo reels. Glad I took my time in getting this Hit List together with all the videos and pics to display. Its been a busy week for me so I hope this will suffice. I should, right? Reel Deal Action member, actor and stunt professional Can Aydin has been coming into his own for sometime now. His story is an amazing one and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting him last month as he was in the good company of friend and industry fight coordinator and stuntman Jonathan Eusebio. I’m kind of adding a little something new to The Hit List nowadays, and I hope it proves useful for you guys in your own enjoyment. But, first things first… As always, there are plenty of stunt reels online, but only a handful of them can be shared here depending on how much they stand out to me (on top of the limit I’m setting for each Hit List piece). The new year has barely begun, and there’s already tons of material floating around online with today’s entry host to its usual amalagam of largely new and a few dated videos. Yes, it’s insane, but it’s also a wonderful (and delightfully explosive) reminder of what we can expect for the next 360 days. Christmas is approaching and hopefully you all have your gifts and stocking stuffers ready. With any luck, this could mean more of what is listed below from the creators and performers in today’s installment of The Hit List! Kicking things off with something a bit more holiday-spirited is Italian stuntteam Flying Without Fear and their new short, Stunta Clause: Una Visita Inaspettata (Stunt Claus: An Unexpected Visit). Stuntman Daniele Balconi takes the lead once more as the not-so-big guy in red as he’s forced into another annual epic battle. Good thing he’s in shape, because this creature looks pissed! All actor and martial arts athlete Daniel Mah really wants to is eat his lunch and enjoy his desert. Unfortunately, Andy Le, being the ninja that he is, can’t resist! It’s the latest video from the folks over at the one and only Martial Club, one of the most active sports teams in the country and around the world who’ve been upping the content on their YouTube channel by hosting numerous tricking tutorials to accompany their online repetoire. Needless to say, that amalgam of content also includes a growing handful of stylish, comedic action shorts for all audiences around the web, young or old. If you’re a fan of the genre and just visiting, hop aboard! And, uh… do be careful what you eat, lest you end up in a cursed, vicious cycle of random ninja attacks.

It’s great to live in an age where the online independent film scene has expanded to a point where bonafide stunt performers and martial artists are able to come together en masse and create something as epic as what actor, stuntman and co-writer Aaron Toney is currently brewing. Case in point: The latest teaser for Throne, the story of a king who sets out find the man responsible for framing him for the death of his own family. Three Kung Fu Nerds Do Battle In Ep. 1 Of The MARTIAL CLUB CHRONICLES

I have often talked about the Martial Club before on my Facebook page. Martial Club is a professional sports team based out in California. The members currently include Daniel Mah, and the Le brothers, Andy and Brian. Andy has been training for about five or six years, with Brian practicing for up to three. In 2009 they started making shortfilms of their own through 2010 when they met Daniel Mah. From what I have researched so far, the team is largely known in its working comnunity as a small group of athletes who train in Wushu Kung Fu and gymnastics, and for competing and showcasing their dynamic skillsets for live sporting events at places like the JAM Gymnasium in Reseda, California.
