It’s a little more than two months waiting for Takashi Yamazaki’s epic new World War 2 thriller, The Great War Of Archimedes. For now, slide this bit of footage in as your first official trailer hailing Gintama actor Masaki Suda as a genuis mathematician who launches his own investigation targeting a conspiracy regarding the construction of Japanese warships for the ongoing World War II. The film is based on Norifusa Mita’s 2015 manga and opens on July 26 courtesy of Toho. Check it out above as well as the latest official poster below.
THE GREAT WAR OF ARCHIMEDES: The Tides Of War Rise In The First Official Teaser
Mita Norifusa’s 2015 Weekly Young Magazine publication is now the subject of Returner, Parasyte and Parasyte 2 helmer Yamazaki Takashi’s newest epic, The Great War Of Archemides. The first official teaser is up and running host to a sampler highlighting actor Suda Masaki (Gintama, Wilderness), a math prodigy who, along with a young naval officer, uncovers a conspiracy regarding the construction of Japanese warships before the onset of World War 2. We also have our first official poster making the rounds courtesy of Toho who will be releasing the film in Japan on July 26. Also starring are actress Hamabe Minami, and actors Emoto Tasuku Emoto and Kobayashi Katsuya, with an ensemble of thesps listing actors Tachi Hiroshi, Konihata Fumiyo, Kunimura Jun, Hashizume Isao and Tanaka Min.
GINTAMA 2 Signals A Trio Of Peacemakers In New Character Posters
I’m still a little bit on the fence about Fukuda Yuichi’s 2017 live-action adaptation of Sorachi Hideaki’s Gintama. Granted however, it’s a pretty short fence with lots of cozy bushes to land on as much as I’ve given the film a curve being a fan of the anime that I am and how generally fun the film was. Needless to say, I’m already curious about what the summer will bring with the forthcoming sequel, tentatively titled Gintama 2. The latest update over at the offical website doesn’t have much in the way of anything new apart from the expected return of actor Masaki Suda and actress Hashimoto Kanna in the respective roles of straight-laced Shinpachi and loveable, battle-proficient Yato exile Kagura. Fukuda's Live-Action GINTAMA Confirms Casting, Possible Plot Details
Oguri Shun and Fukuda Yuchi on the set of GINTAMA (Twitter) News of the live-action adaptation of Sorachi Hideaki’s popular Weekly Shonen Jump manga, Gintama, came as a delightful surprise to me a few months ago. Filming had already went underway and a few miscellaneous set photos started emerging online showing signs of progress following its production wrap back in September. Fukuda Yuichi is directing the film based on the property that sees actor Oguri Shun as Sakata Gintoki, a silver-haired former samurai and founder of his own odd jobs business in an Edo Japan where the arrival and subsequent settlement of the Amanto – a species of alien life, has advanced the nation ahead of its time.
