For those explicitly following Marvel’s The Inhumans however, the ABC television series has been officially slated to air two back-to-back episodes on September 29 between 8:00pm and 10:00pm EST. Marvel’s Inhumans explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, played by Anson Mount, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. The very first teaser unveiled back in April and was an impressive feat with actor Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role – a doctor who goes on an epic journey of self-discovery and purpose following a horrific car crash that severely injures his hands. The next phase of the Marvel craze is already upon us with Captain America: Civil War on track for May of next year among other titles forthcoming. Hardcore comic book geeks can pretty much figure out what’s left after this but the journey is finally beginning with an official announcement from Marvel regarding principal photography on Doctor Strange which releases a little less than a year from now. Photos have already circulated among fansites and so you may already recollect actor Benedict Cumberbatch‘s scruffy look in certain images. It’ll definitely evolve into a more neater look over time as filming resumes, although I’m more curious as to what role actor and martial artist Scott Adkins will have to do with all of this among a few others, which will otherwise leave a good bit of room for martial arts fans in the theater. I’ve been compelled to go off the rails everytime Marvel adheres to a gimmick to sell director Peyton Reed‘s latest contribution to the third phase of the Marvel Universe, Ant-Man. Back in October, actor Benedict Cumberbatch‘s name began circulating the interwebs as the primary frontrunner for the upcoming production of Doctor Strange, based on the classic Marvel 1963 publication by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
