It’s been a long while since comic book creator Mark Millar’s plans for projects like Jupiter’s Legacy, Empress and others were announced for select screen treatments. Some of those plans were a good bet to be tied with Netflix following its acquisition of Millarworld in 2017 and on Tuesday, the streaming giant made it official with the additions of American Jesus, Huck and Sharkey The Bounty Hunter to the fray. Netflix, Mark Millar’s Millarworld Label Join Forces

Netflix will see plenty more comic adaptations in the coming months, especially if you’re a fan of films like Kick-Ass, Logan and Kingsman: The Secret Service or any from Mark Millar’s catalogue. Netflix has hailed first-ever acquisition of comic book creator Mark Millar’s eponymous staple, Millarworld, marking the first step to bringing Millar’s critically-acclaimed library to film and TV audiences. Millar’s brand will also continue to create more IPs in association with the streaming giant from here on out, as announced on Monday. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed and it is also not yet known which will be up first. The fact is that it could be any number of titles from Millar’s label such as Empress, Jupiter Legacy or Reborn.
