Thanks to archive site Filmsmash, we now have a new clip this week for the upcoming South Korean release of director Hwang In-Ho‘s new spectacular psychological murder thriller, Monster. Fans of recent film festival hits like Mo Brothers’ Killers could get a stab or two from this latest venture into slasher territory about a young, mentally unstable woman whose younger sister dies at the hands of a killer, initiating a two-way chase between two people thirsty for each other’s blood.
Monster stars Lee Min-Ki, Kim Go-Eun and Yoo Jae-Myung, and heads its way to big screens in South Korea on March 13.
Bok-Soon (Kim Go-Eun) lives with her younger sibling. She runs a street stand. Bok-Soon is slow, but when people anger her she goes crazy. That’s why she is known as the “crazy woman”.
One day, cold-blooded killer Tae-Soo (Lee Min-Ki) appears in front of her. To hide his secret, he kills Bok-Soon’s younger sibling. Bok-Soon then goes after Tae-Soo for revenge, but Tae-Soo goes after Bok-Soon.
