Aikawa Sho's Z-ISLAND Gets A Second Trailer!

Director Shinagawa Hiroshi‘s latest zombie romp, Z-Island is still in position for a May 16 release and a new trailer has arrived which you may view below, as well as a music video for the film; I can’t read Japanese and anyone who’s ever tried using Google Translate knows how craptastic it is, so if you know the artists, cool. If not, then at least enjoy the music and/or the imagery of watching legendary V-Cinema star, action hero Aikawa Sho and co. kicking tons of zombie ass. Fun for everyone! SYNOPSIS: Munekata sets off to Zenijima Island in search of Hinata, his daughter after a family argument. Munekata, a former Yakuza, encounters hostile locals on the island, impeding his search. When a mysterious virus begins rampaging through the island and changing people into monsters, can the tough Munekata find his daughter before it is too late?

The forthcoming release of director Roy Chow‘s kung fu epic, Rise Of The Legend, is only a week and a half away from its initial theatrical release in China, and the momentum is definitely there. As for how it will do among the critics is still pending news to many, although one can only hope for some good prospects for a film that dares to make its case known among hardcore martial arts fans that are partial to the classics, and you really have to hand it to Chow for leading those efforts. Swedish Viking death metal band, Amon Amarth is taking the stage this week for director Claudio Fäh‘s upcoming period action epic, Northmen: A Viking Saga. “Deceiver Of The Gods” is the name of their new song for the film which will get its day at the Zurich Film Festival on Saturday, September 27 before releasing in Germany next month with other dates and territories still pending. ICEMAN 3D Gets An Action-Packed Promo And New Music Video

We are a little less than a year since having seen the first few teasers go online for director Law Wing-Cheong‘s new film, Iceman 3D as the film’s hectic schedule was ultimately split into a two-movie megaproject. And with the film finally heading to Singapore and China theaters next month, onlooking fans were presented with some brand new poster art with leading man of action Donnie Yen front and center with Wang Baoqiang trailing. Eigapedia forwarded the latest new music video headlining the upcoming theatrical release of director Noboru Iguchi’s new film, Nuigulumar Z: Gothic Lolita Battle Bear. The film is based on a song and novel by Tokusatsu lead singer, Kenji Ohtsuji, who can be seen performing in the new video with actress and idol Shoko Nakagawa who plays the title role of a Yumeko, jobless lolita fashionista whose niece’s teddy bear animates as a result of a present alien lifeforce, granting Yumeko extraordinary powers to transform into Earth’s last line of defense against a zombie apocalypse. January 17, 2014 is the day that sees Universal Pictures’ latest pairing of actors Kevin Hart and 22 Jumpstreet co-star Ice Cube in the upcoming buddy action thriller, Ride Along. Directed by Tim Story, Ride Along features Hart and Cube in classic action comedy fashion in the story of a cop who reluctantly brings his sister’s boyfriend on a ride along to test his mettle and and prove his worthiness to marry his sister. The film is already poised for a sequel ahead of the film’s release, granted the film does well, of course. Enter Gowe's 16-Bit World Of Poetic Wonder In AURORA

Being that I’m in a musical mood lately, I felt like highlighting the latest entry into Machinima’s 2nd Annual Online Interactive Film Festival from 2nd-generation Chinese-American underground hip hop artist, Gowe, titled Aurora. Completed and aired back in February, it has all the trimmings of all the kinds of 80’s and 90’s anime and gaming fanfare being used to highlight Gowe’s message, which also apparently involves robots, lasers, supermoves, spaceflight, a girl with wings, and a 16-bit likeness of Gowe himself kicking ass, armed with a rocket launcher, and yes…explosions, of course. Good times. Follow Gowe on Twitter. In Aurora, Gowe describes the battles in his musical journey as an independent artist against his harsh critics and the conformity of mainstream entertainment. The animation pays homage to both new and old video games of the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, classic arcades, 90’s cartoons, and Japanese animé.

Wednesday was a great day to be young actor Dallas Liu upon the unveiling of the latest music video for electronic punk rock band Five Knives titled, The Future, from Red Bull Records. Directed by Lance Drake with action choreography by Mindy Kelly, the cinematic musical action short features Liu doing what he does best on screen. For those of you who don’t know, Liu himself happens to be an accomplished award-winning martial artist and a force to be reckoned with, merited by the competitive stats and viral online footage to prove it. We have a new official music video this Friday in promotion for the upcoming release of director Clarence Fok’s martial arts action thriller, Special ID. The music video features mainland Chinese singer and the film’s co-star Kun Yang performing the title song, “Wǒ méi nǐ xiǎng dì nàme jiānqiáng (我没你想的那么坚强)”, which translates in English as “I’m Not So Strong As You Think”. The song appears to be very poignant in reflecting the inner struggles of the relative characters, including Donnie Yen, who can be seen as the undercover cop forced to endure handfuls of bad guys in various scenes, from a bathroom stall and in a street brawl on a rainy evening. Lua Phat), we now have the official music video featuring Vietnamese rock star, Pham Anh Khoa, performing the title song, Sắc Màu, which loosely translates as “Colour”.
