iQIYI’s 2022 line-up is already making headway this year following some late 2021 announcements, the latest being Marc Ma’s summer crime thriller, Wolf Hiding, with Nick Cheung, Ethan Juan, Darren Wang, Paul Chun, Andrew Lin and Danny Chan Kwok Kwan. A clandestine gang is in disarray following the appearance of a mystery person and sparks off a war for a new order. We now have a trailer and poster circulating as well. One Cool Film Nick Cheung has been sweeping Filmart in the last two days with a number of projects. Perfect Village Entertainment’s Guilt By Design is one of them, produced in association with Grand Canal Pictures and Mei Ah Films with Hong Kong film trio Lai Siu Kwan, Sze Pak Lam and Yongtai Liu helming the project in whole as their debut. The film hails from its prior showing as an award-winning at the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum back in 2016. Following the Lunar New Year box office success of writer and director Wong Jing‘s hit film, From Vegas To Macau, the sequel has already started production with locations currently extended to Macau, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. Continuing the trend of filming in exotic locales in and around Asia, writer and director Wong Jing is expected to return with a second offering of his revitalized spin on the God Of Gamblers franchise with the production of From Vegas To Macau 2. Apparently, the first film which released in January beat commercial expectations despite mixed reviews, and will now ante up the production with a larger budget for a 3D shoot that will take place in Thailand, Mainland Macau and Hong Kong.
