Chin Siu-Ho stars in the latest reimagining of the Chinese vampire hunter genre in Juno Mak‘s directorial debut from his Kudos Films production banner, Rigor Mortis, written by Jill Leung and Phillip Yung. J-horror visionary filmmaker Shimizu Takashi, most regarded for his work on Ju-On 1 and 2, and the American adaptation of both films titled, The Grudge, also produced the film which is slated for release later this year.
Asian Movie Pulse is reporting via Screen Daily and Twitch that Fortissimo Films has picked up international distribution rights for the upcoming vampire action horror film, Rigor Mortis. The film is being heralded as the theatrical return of the classic Chinese vampire genre, starring Chin Siu-ho in a reportedly darker-toned performance than seen of his character in the previous Mr. Vampire film series.
