Currently in post-production is Declan Whitebloom’s debut feature, The Yacht. The new action thriller starring Ruby Rose (The Doorman, Vanquish), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Daniel Isn’t Real, Echo Boomers) and Frank Grillo (Beyond Skyline, Boss Level) has been acquired by Voltage Pictures for international sales and will be presented to buyers at the upcoming Marché du film, which runs from June 21st through the 25th.
Writer turned director George Gallo has had a long and active career in Hollywood spanning 35 years. In that time, he has written the script for the classic comedy MIDNIGHT RUN starring Robert DeNiro and had a hand in creating the characters of the wildly successful BAD BOYS franchise which helped launch the film career of mega-star Will Smith. He has also directed and written for actors such as Nicolas Cage, Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson, and Tommy Lee Jones in various comedies during that time as well.

After shelling out gory chills and suspenseful thrills for his Western transition in The Midnight Meattrain, No One Lives, Downrange and in a segment in Nightmare Cinema, it’s refreshing to see Japanese cult favorite Ryuhei Kitamura return to a lively action setup.
Actress Ruby Rose is riding high this week having emerged in Thursday’s trailer for the Fall premiere of Batwoman on The CW. She’s also remained consistent in her big screen endeavors following roles in xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, John Wick: Chapter Two and shark thriller, The Meg, now staking her claim with her latest action role in The Doorman with a release now being planned thanks to Lionsgate’s U.S. acquisition of the film at Cannes.
Do I still want a Versus 2? Yes. Am I deluded at this point? Probably. Still, director Kitamura Ryuhei is someone I’ve been long proud of since stumbling upon his films back in college in 2001, and it gives me great pleasure to see reported at Deadline that his latest, Doorman, has installed actress Ruby Rose.
Altitude is set to rep UK action thriller, SAS: Red Notice. The title will hit the floor at EFM starting this week as Sky Cinema revs up plans to release the film in the UK and Ireland in 2020.
