Shot with a sprawling look and drenched in haunting, brutal horror, excitement and thrilling, epic intrigue with deadly action, Rustam Mosafir’s newest Eastern European filmic delight, The Last Warrior, is something I can wholly attest to in its greatness. I’d say I agree with the quote on the artwork but as it stands, it almost feels like an understatement at this point. As for its release, Bloody Disgusting provided an exclusive two days ago revealing the official trailer for its August 14 release on DVD, Blu-Ray and VOD. U.K.-based 4Digital Media is handling the title and with any luck, I believe this one might even be slated for a Fantasia premiere in July given the fest’s official Vimeo portal has one of the initial trailers uploaded with the title, The Scythian (a.k.a. This one would have been great to list as a Five-A-Day entry but as it stands it’s only come under my radar as of Wednesday.
