Actor Ryan Renyolds is out and about preparing for what he has thusfar described as a serires of tests as pre-production remains on-going with no word yet on whether or not fans of the character will get the much-desired R-rating. In my own opinion, industry politics may keep this one at a PG-13 considering the Marvel films of late have thusfar kept all of its titles as family friendly as possible while adhering to the needs of young adult fans. Thursday’s report from Deadline finally confirmed that actor Ryan Renyolds was in the last stages of talks to star in the forthcoming comic book adaptation of Marvel’s Deadpool. Tim Miller is set to direct from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick with a release date currently set for February 12, 2016. Renyolds‘s voice is but one of many among fans who have advocated for the classic “Merc With A Mouth” character to get his own film since the actor initial fitting performance in the 2009 film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The infamous “merc with a mouth” otherwise known as Deadpool has been a major subject of discussion over the last several years. Having been featured in the 2009 film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine by actor Ryan Renyolds, the character went on to become the very center of its own fan-driven movement for a self-titled film to do it justice. Test footage from Blur Studios also leaked online a few months back before 20th Century Fox pulled it. However, much to the favor of fans, the footage proved to be every bit as impressive as they hoped it would be, and it obviously left the fans wanting more, especially with the hopes of an R-rated production.
