Lionsgate is back in business with Sylvester Stallone with the official trailer for action thriller, Alarum. Scott Eastwood also stars in addition to Willa Fitzgerald, Mike Colter, Isis Valverde, and Joel Cohen. Academy Award® nominee* Sylvester Stallone, Scott Eastwood, Mike Colter, and Willa Fitzgerald star in this explosive action-thriller about two married spies caught in the crosshairs of an international intelligence network that will stop at nothing to obtain a critical asset. Featured in their slate is Manuscript which, per The Hollywood Reporter, has Nick Cassavetes replacing John Moore to direct from a script by Louis Rosenberg and Joe Rosenbaum. In this cat and mouse style thriller, a jailed genius convict (Morgan Freeman), leads an ambitious junior editor, through clues in his memoir, to the 20 million in missing diamonds he stole years earlier. As the junior editor gets closer to finding out the truth about the mystery, he falls in to a greater criminal ploy that leaves his life in danger. Diablo star, actor Scott Eastwood is slowly but surely picking up notoriety into 2016 following upcoming appearances in WB’s Suicide Squad and Live By Night, and Antonio Negret’s new action thriller, Overdrive. The actor is now pairing with Alec Baldwin on a new sci-fi thriller filming on May 1 in Los Angeles titled Crown Vic from writer and director Joel Souza. Brand Inc. Productions is producing with Eastwood set to play a young, idealistic rookie opposite Baldwin’s role as an older, much more cynical seasoned detective; Both are partnered on a case involving the search for two vicious cop killers, and in the midst of it all, the younger lawman will find his own ideals tested before the night is over. Transit helmer Antonio Negret has been tapped to set up-and-coming actor Scott Eastwood for a lead role in the new action film, Overdrive. The new film will take place in France with a script by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas that sets two car thief brothers spiriting away to the South of France for new opportunities only to end up in the throes of the local crime boss. THR reports the film has been developing for close to a decade now with several actors once poised for roles as well, including Alex Pettyfer and Matthew Goode. Taken and The Gunman helmer Pierre Morel will produce the film which international sales agent, Kinology, will begin shopping at the Toronto International Film Festival next week.
