MY FATHER DIE: Watch The Trailer For Sean Brosnan’s Award-Winning Revenge Drama

Having derived his first feature film directing gig project from an 18th century play with the initial intent to adapt it as experimental art house fiction, actor Sean Brosnan’s new film subsequently underwent its natural evolution ultimately taking on a number of themes and ideas during its production. Issues dealing with family drama and nods to religion and philosophy brought forward Brosnan’s progress with his debut exercise in feature film storytelling, followed by its celebrated critical reception since its SXSW premiere last year for what we now get in its forthcoming release, My Father Die, which opens on January 20 from FilmRise in limited theaters and VOD.

SYNOPSIS:

Deaf and mute since having his hearing knocked out at the age of 12, Asher has been training for almost two decades to avenge himself on Ivan, the man that killed his older brother, 21 years ago. And now that his nemesis is out of prison, he may get his chance. But Asher’s target also happens to be his father.

Produced by Brosnan and noted father, actor Pierce Brosnan, the cast includes Joe Anderson and Gary Stretch with Candice Smith, Ross Britz and Thomas Francis Murphy. Catch the trailer below and note the following theater locations listed at the official FilmRise website.
